As we get closer to National Signing Day on Feb. 2, the University of South Dakota football team continues to get verbal commitments.
The latest is Manny Cromuel, an offensive guard and defensive tackle from Tampa, Fla. The 6-foot-2, 298-pound lineman recorded 14 tackles and one sack last fall for Jefferson High School, which won the Class 3A state title.
Interesting stat: USD already has six players on its roster from Tampa. So there’s obviously a nice pipeline going there for the Coyotes.
By my unofficial count, that’s 12 commits so far for USD — including four transfers and a walk-on (Matt Lupkes from Dakota Valley).
