Kraning Garners Attention

Following his 15-point, 11-rebound performance in Saturday’s Timberwolves Shootout in Minneapolis, Viborg-Hurley center Zach Kraning earned some love from ESPN.com recruiting analyst Reggie Rankin. Read the article here.

Rankin calls Kraning, a 6-foot-9 junior, a “Player to Watch” after he nearly helped the Class A Cougars upend Roseville (Minn.). The Raiders surged late for a 68-66 win.

Also in the piece, Rankin lists Princeton, Yale, South Dakota State and University of South Dakota on Kraning’s list of possible college destinations. No big surprise there, Kraning is a very smart kid, so an Ivy League school is naturally in the mix.

With all the notoriety (rightfully) garnered by Viborg-Hurley’s Cory Jacobsen, keep an eye on Zach Kraning.
