NCAA Men’s Bracket Set

After three months of games, posturing and analysis, the NCAA men’s tournament bracket is finally set.

One of those teams that was waiting for an at-large call was Minnesota, who picked up one of the final five at-large berths. Colton Iverson and the Golden Gophers draw Texas on Thursday.

Penn State, despite a strong finish, did not get that invite. (Sorry, Tom Buckmiller, but I hate being right.)

North Dakota State didn’t have to wait for an invite, having beaten Oakland for the Summit League title on Tuesday. The Bison get a 14-seed, but will play in the Metrodome — as close to a home game as they will ever have. Kansas had better be ready to play in a hostile environment.

The Press & Dakotan Staff, as well as select “experts” will be making their picks known in Thursday’s edition of the Press & Dakotan. We’ll also have some analysis here.

While you’re waiting, feel free to comment here and make your voice heard.

The women’s bracket comes out Monday, and it will be interesting to see if South Dakota State gets a pick comparable to the 14/17 ranking they have. (Most project them as a 6-seed.)
