TGIF Linkage 01/02

** In light of my last place standing in the P&D’s annual college football bowl picks, I’d like to thank the following schools for not showing up in their games: Fresno State, Brigham Young, Boise State, Hawaii, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech. Just to name a few.

** University of South Dakota junior forward Tyler Cain is featured in this story today by his home town paper, Rochester (Minn.) Post-Bulletin.

** Apparently, Louisville men’s basketball coach Rick Pitino is more interested in what he wears then how his team plays. Oh snap. UPDATE: I had this typed up before the Cardinals lost another game.

** To further remember last year, here are the top 35 viral videos of 2008. Don’t worry, No. 1 is definitely worth the wait.

** Uh oh, Brett Favre, your new team is starting to tell how they really feel

** Speaking of antisocial prima donnas, Barry Bonds had hip surgery with the intent to play baseball again. Now it’s just a matter of the Yankees making room for him.

** Quite Frankly, Stephen A. Smith thinks the Yankees need to spend MORE money in order to win a World Series title. Seriously? I don’t even know what to say.

** In all seriousness, Peyton Manning deserved to win the MVP award. How can you not like this guy?

TGIF Recommended Tune.

This week, I’ve tracked down “I Dare You” by Shinedown. The video below features the lyrics to the song.
