TGIF Linkage 12/26

First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone who reads this. Hopefully your holiday was spent like mine: Sitting in the living room with the fam, drink in hand, laughing and having a good time.

Even while technically on vacation and up in Sioux Falls, I’ve gathered a few links this week that I think you might enjoy. So here goes.

** Quick backstory. Two years ago, a friend of mine, who is now a P&D page designer, bought me a Gonzaga Bulldogs hat. He knows how much of a Gonzaga basketball fan I am, so it was a really thoughtful gift. Little did he know, that Gonzaga is forever jinxed. I wore the hat for the first this year a week ago. And since that time, the Bulldogs are 1-3. Included is an upset loss to Portland State.

** Now, you have the chance to partake in the Evolution of Dance.

** If you have a cat, or have ever owned one, you can relate to these 9 signs your cat is plotting to kill you.

** In news that’s not actually news, the Philadelphia Phillies have announced their new ballgirls. One of many great reasons to be a Phillies fan. You know, aside from Cole Hamels and World Series titles.

** Are you kidding me with this, Kevin Hassett of Bloomberg.com?

** Cal Poly football coach Rich Ellerson is apparently in serious talks to be the new coach at Army. FYI, Ellerson’s Cal Poly Mustangs defeated the University of South Dakota 44-29 this season.

** Speaking of USD, former Coyote assistant football coach Bill Bleil was hired Tuesday by new Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads. Bleil, 49, spent the 2002 season with the Coyotes.

** Let me get this straight: There are over 150 colleges that have official Quidditch teams? What’s even scarier is that the NCAA could actually sanction this so-called sport. So, in other words, a fictional game can become an official sport, but our lovely state still cannot sanction high school baseball or soccer?

** Hey, Dave Pasch of ESPN, you do know what a golden shower REALLY is, right? Just checking.

Don’t worry, I won’t make an Ashlee Simpson reference this week.

This week, I’ll share with you “Angels On The Moon” by Thriving Ivory. I’ve seriously been trying to find the name of this song and artist for like a week now. And it’s a great new song to listen to in the car.
