Archambeau Commits To USD
According to the Argus Leader in this report, Avon’s Earv Archambeau has given a verbal commitment to play football at the University of South Dakota. Also giving the Coyotes a verbal commitment was Sioux Falls O’Gorman lineman Mike Pharis.
Archambeau, a 5-foot-10 running back and defensive back, led the Avon Pirates to the Class 9A state championship last month. He ran for more than 1,700 yards as a senior and proved to be one of the most talented players in the state — regardless of class. He would be a great fit for the Coyotes, which have had a long history of running backs post huge numbers.
Pharis, a 6-foot-4 lineman, will follow his father to USD. Todd Pharis was himself a standout defensive lineman and is currently a member of the USD Athletic Hall of Fame.
Both would be huge in-state pickups for the Coyotes.
