Plucker Among Summit League Leaders
Parker native Abby Plucker is off to a great start in her sophomore basketball season at Division I North Dakota State.
The former Pheasant has led the Bison (2-3) in scoring each of the last four games, earning All-Tournament honors at the Ayres Hotel Thanksgiving Tournament. She also led the Bison in rebounding in the team’s season-opening loss to Northern Iowa, the one game in which she did not lead the team in scoring.
For the season, Plucker is averaging 17.0 points a game — ranking third in the Summit League — and has hit six of 15 three-point attempts. She also leads the team with 6.0 rebounds a game.
Yankton’s own Ketty Cornemann, a junior at South Dakota State, is among the league leaders in the Summit as well, ranking 11th in both three-pointers made and three-point percentage (10-25, 40.0 percent).
